You Don't Mess with the Zohan

Today I went off to see the new film "You Don't Mess with the Zohan" at my local cinema and actually found it quite enjoyable. There have been some reviews here in the UK saying that it's awful but I disagree. I went on for just a tiny bit long and the cinema was really cold (but you can't blame that on the film)! There were lots of enjoyable moments in it and the main character sounded a bit like Borat. It was definitely a "Blades of Glory" type of film and I would happily see it again. I recommend it to you as a stupid but fun film.

Hari Puttar/Harry Potter

If you have been looking at the entertainment news this week you will have heard of the ridiculous case of the Bollywood film "Hari Puttar". Warner Bros., maker of the Harry Potter films, is taking legal action against the Bollywood Producers due to the name of the film.  Warner Bros. say that the name "Hari Puttar" is TOO SIMILAR to "Harry Potter". I personaly think this is really quite ridiculous, I have even read articles saying that Hari is a very common Indian name. Honestly Warner Bros.! Who is going to like you if you keep bullying other smaller organisations!

The Solution to the Macbook's Problem

A few hours ago I told you about my friends Macbook Pro not being able to connect to my WI-FI. Embarrassingly I got one number wrong in the passcode when telling it to him!

MacBook Pro Disaster!

A friend of mine came over this evening with his Macbook Pro and tried to connect to my BT HomeHub wireless network. I gave him the correct passcode to use and even told him to put a "$" at the beginning of it but it kept saying "Connection Timeout". I have put a support post on the Apple Support Discussions page and am hoping for answers soon. Watch this space.

No Country for Old Men

After watching No Country for Old Men I decided that the psychopathic killer wasn't only oppressive and frightening because of his voice or his character. I thought that it was the actor's hair that gave him his power. It is really interesting how hair and makeup can effect the impact of films and characters in movie. Javier Bardem's hairstyle in No Country for Old Men was actually what made him the psychopath that he was in the film. It was an incredible effect. A great movie with a very disappointing ending!

Barack Obama's Speech at the DNC.

After staying up into the early morning of Friday I finally got to watch Obama's speech. Being a proud democrat myself I was greatly looking forward to the man's sparkling rhetoric and stunning words. I silently listened to the wooden voice of Al Gore and almost dosed off during Sheryl Crow and eventually was rewarded with Barack himself.

However, I was rather disappointed with Barack's speech as I was expected a stunning speech similar in style to Martin Luther King Jr.'s famous "I have a dream" speech but Obama gave a rather boring speech instead. It was all about what he would do as President, although it was very thin on foreign policy, and failed to inspire me. I know for sure that last nights speech would have failed to convince be about voting Democrat is I was undecided on who to vote for.

Well, I guess I'll see how the Republican Nation Convention goes and hope that Barack dazzles people in the debates.
